The Emperor walked around the entire city and most of his people had come to see this wonderful new suit of cloths. Everyone yelled out that it was a most wonderful suit and the best that they had ever put their eye on. No one in the land wanted his neighbour to think him stupid or unfit for his job.
A young boy who stood in front of the crowd pointed at the Emperor and in a voice louder than such a young child should have, proclaimed "The Emperor is not wearing anything at all! The Emperor is not wearing a stitch of clothing!"
